Say “I do” on the resort grounds and your guests walk back to private villas, or stay here for a wedding at a nearby venue and share the pools, spa, restaurant and marina of a gated resort on its own peninsula.

How the wedding room block works

You ask for a code. Tell us the venue, the date and how many guests need a bed. We set up a private code just for your wedding (it cannot be guessed, so strangers cannot use it).
You share it. Put the code and a link to this page on your wedding website or in your invitations.
Guests book their own stay. Each guest picks a villa, chooses Rate: Wedding Block, types your code and books online at $50 off per bedroom for stays of two nights or more.
No contract, no attrition. Unlike a hotel block, you never pay for rooms your guests do not book.

Lago Vista has very few hotel rooms, so most wedding guests stay in vacation rentals. Yes, The Island hosts weddings on the resort grounds. Book the ceremony and reception with the resort, and we will put your guests in private villas a short walk away, so nobody drives after the celebration.

About 15 minutes by car (roughly 5 miles), depending on traffic. Villa Antonia in Jonestown is about 25 minutes away.

We give the couple a private code for their wedding. Guests type the code on any villa's page, pick their dates and book online at the Wedding Block rate: $50 off per bedroom for stays of two nights or more, with the cleaning fee built in. The couple never signs a block contract or pays for unbooked rooms.

Yes, guests can get ready at their villa before heading to the venue. The villas are lodging only: ceremonies, receptions and parties are not allowed at the rentals, and resort rules and quiet hours apply.

Yes. We manage a large share of the villas at The Island, so we can put a bridal party, the groomsmen and both families in neighboring villas. Tell us the group size and we will put them together.

The Island has pools, a spa, tennis, an on-site restaurant and a marina, so guests arriving on Thursday have a real Hill Country weekend. Austin is about 40 minutes away.
