We first visited the island in 2009 which is where we fell in love at! We greatly appreciate you all for allowing us to have our very small, intimate wedding on the premises in November 2011. It was truly a dream come true wedding, very tranquil. We revisited the island for New Year's Eve and had an amazingly relaxing stay as always :) Thank you again! See you in the summer!)
2011/08/08	A Rental Villa	1104	John	Austin	This room is top notch. Beautifully updated, spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the lake and pool. We went on a "stay cation" to get away for the weekend with family from out of town. Will definitely be back. This room is very nice compared to others in its price point.)

No traffic, no city noises, nice breezes at night and crystal clear skies. Despite the low water levels of Lake Travis, it did NOT keep us from doing anything/everything we wanted to do. We had a FAN-tastic time ... we will be back again!)

It was nice as well. The one bedroom is perfect for two of us. The location and view is great. It's right by an evevator, and right above the North pool. )

2010/03/23	A Rental Villa	1107	Steve	Helotes, Texas	This was our 5th stay at The Island in the last three years. We are repeat customers for lots of reasons. First, Taryn and the staff are extremely friendly and accomodating with all requests. Top notch crew that will make sure your stay is First Class. Secondly - we have stayed in a different unit each time, and every unit was absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous views of the lake, and plenty of appointments to make you feel right at home. We've brought our boat each time, and with the exception of the drought last year which made us have to use the boat ramp in Jonestown, the boating experience and slip we reserved was awesome. I would highly recommend The Island to any couple looking for a weekend getaway, or a family to take an extended break away from home. You will not be disappointed. )
2010/03/20	A Rental Villa	2116	Mitch and Pat	Lincoln NE	We stayed a month in this quiet, gated, updated condo in the Hill Country near Lago Vista. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The furnishings were nice, the bed comfortable. Everything we needed was provided for in the kitchen and bath. The patio overlooks a green space with a fountain and the river is just below. The pool and spa and exercise room are wonderful. The small restaurant is open with limited hours and the food was delicious. The Lago Vista community has a library, church, grocery store, CVS and post office and a couple fast food restaurants. There are free washers and dryers in a couple of locations in the complex. We walked nearly every day around the quiet neighborhood and loved watching the deer. The wineries near by make you think you are in France. The complex has a very European feel about it. We can’t wait to return to this area next winter and hope to stay in the same unit. )

We rode jetskis in the lake but mostly enjoyed our villa. The view was absolutely breath taking! We both enjoy the outdoors, lakes, and sunsets so the best part was, not only did we have a pool view and lake view, we also had the most amazing sunset view! One night, we had dinner at Brizo's. It is a delightful restaurant and bar, but we were rushing through it just so we could run up to our villa to watch the sunset from our balcony. It was a magical weekend. We are already planning a trip for February 2010 and for this coming summer. Although I have used this adjetive many times, this villa was AAAMMMMAAAZING!!!! )
2009/12/28	Our Resort (General Review)		CB	Midlothian, TX	This was our third visit in the last 3 years. Once again our stay surpassed our expectations. The condo was well appointed the views spectacular. This was our first visit since the resturant and spa opened which was icing on the cake. My young adult children worked out on the state of the art gym equipment, swam in the indoor pool and enjoyed fabulous spa treatments. I was especially surprised by the reasonable cost for the spa services. After an afternoon of total pampering we enjoyed playing pool and dinner at the resorts bar and grill. In the mornings I had coffee and walked out to see the deer. This is my happy place, luxury and nature all in one!)
2009/10/28	A Rental Villa	1208	Guest		Taryn and MJ, I have to tell you that we weren't sure what to expect at the Island, BUT, the accommodations were wonderful. The location is so beautiful and we loved all the deer. I don't think anyone who was with our group had a complaint one, and as far as I know, they were all very pleased. Thank you so much. Somehow, I got away with a coffee measuring scoop out of 1208 and will put that in the mail today. Thank you so much and I am trying to figure out when we can use your facility again. Plenty to do, but we just enjoy the lake and pool. The condos are very spacious and comfortable. The staff is delightful. We are looking forward to returning next year for a family reunion.)

It was very nice and tranquil. The villa had everything we needed and certainly appreciated the welcome basket we received. Looking forward to next years stay.)
2009/07/29	A Rental Villa		Esther	Plano, Texas	We stayed the weekend of July 23,2009, and boy, did we have a great time! I couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate my 49th birthday. We enjoyed the view of Lake Travis from our balcony, and swam in the pool during the early part of the afternoon before making the beautiful drive to the Flat Creek Winery located in nearby Marble Falls. After napping for a short while, we headed to the resort restaurant, Brizos, and dined on delicious filet mignon. Both nights found us in the resort bar where we were immediately befriended by condo owners who love their karaoke nights. They invited us to join in, and so we did. We were also lucky there was another large group celebrating a family reunion the same weekend as us, so they only made things livelier. Saturday evening we were joined by a group of UTgrads who were celebrating a bachelorette party. They passed out hot pink and lime green feather boas to everyone, and we all became one big happy family, old and young alike dancing and singing the night away! Would I recommend this place as a relaxing getaway? You bet! I forgot to mention after the bar closed, we escaped to the pool patio and relaxed on the recliners and did some stargazing! Unbelievable- saw 4 shooting stars, 1 the first night and 3 the second night! Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, and fun all at one place. We originally thought we might drive into town, but quickly realized there was no need after all!)

We especially enjoyed the large, private balcony with views of rolling hills and water. The pool area overlooking the lake was a perfect setting for our first Texas vacation. )

Not only did it turn out to be a very beautiful and scenic place the rooms were also breathtaking. I would recommend this place to anyone getting marred at Nature's Point in Lago Vista.)
